Welcome to the 2009 / 2010 school year at the Forestdale School

Who is the PTO

All Forestdale School Families and School Staff Members

What is the purpose of the PTO?

The PTO works to support the school, enhance the learning experience for all children, and strengthen the community bond. The PTO sponsors fun events throughout the year. Some are fundraisers, but others are social functions that bring the Forestdale community together.

Why should I join the PTO?

The PTO strives to continue to enhance and enrich our children's educational experience, and make a difference in our families' lives! It is a great way for busy families to get together socially. This is another avenue to meet teachers and staff outside of the classroom. As members of the community, we even say that it is our obligation to the future of our children and the world.

Why do we have fundraisers? Where does the money go?

We raise funds for the Library, field trip transportation, educational programs, copy and laminating machine supplies, Field Day slush, Forestdale Scholarship, Eighth Grade graduation activities and much more.

Box Tops

Please remember to submit your Box tops when school starts. Please place your childs name and room number on the bag.

You can also log in to the Box Tops for Education site (listed below) for more information and we get points.

Shop at the Meadow Glen Mall. Go to the service desk and have your receipt stamped and earn cash for the Forestdale School. It is Free to you.

PTO Meeting - Monday, November 9th @ 6:30 in the cafeteria




In order to conserve paper starting in October families with more than 1 child in the school will only be received 1 PTO notice from their youngest child.

This school year is PTO election year, in February we will be looking to put together an election committee. Please let us know if you are interested.


FUNDRAISING UPDATES

A Dutch Mill Bulb Fundraiser form ? orders are due on September 23rd ? You should have only received 1 order form per family. (Kindergarteners will be receiving theirs on their 1st day of school)
