Great Recipe to Use With Children

Homemade Play Dough

3 cups flour, 1 1/2 cups salt, 1 Tablespoon Cream of Tartar, 3 cups water, 3 Tablespoons oil, food coloring, Put all of the ingredients into a saucepan and mix well. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture blends together to form "play dough" (about 7 minutes). Cook the dough 2 to 3 minutes longer to make sure that it is done (and not sticky). Cool, knead to blend, and store in airtight plastic container. Have fun!
